Terms of Service

Effective 30 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Keepr when you use the Keepr app and website. They cover your account, the content you add, collaborating with other people, and ordering printed books. Please read them — by creating an account or using Keepr you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

1. About Keepr

Keepr (“Keepr”, “we”, “us”) provides an app for collecting photos, voice messages and stories — on your own or together with other people — and for turning them into digital keepsakes and printed books. We are based in New Zealand.

You must be at least 16 to create an account. If you use Keepr on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind it to these terms.

2. Your account

  • Give us accurate information, and keep your sign-in details secure. You’re responsible for what happens under your account.
  • You can sign in with email and a password, or with Apple or Google.
  • Tell us straight away at hello@mykeepr.io if you think someone else has accessed your account.
  • You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Account → Delete Account. See section 10.

3. Your content

“Your content” means the photos, text, voice recordings, names and other material you add to Keepr. You own it. We don’t claim ownership of your content.

To run the service, you give Keepr a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to store, copy, resize, process, display and print your content, and to share it with the people you choose (such as the other members of a CollabBook) and with the printing and delivery partners who make and ship your orders. This licence is only for operating Keepr for you and ends when your content is deleted, except for copies in routine backups and printed books that have already been made.

You promise that:

  • you own your content or have permission to use it, including permission from the people who appear in it where the law or good manners require it; and
  • your content, and printing it, doesn’t break anyone else’s rights or the law.

Please keep your own copies of anything precious. Keepr is not a backup service, and we can’t promise your content will never be lost.

4. What you can’t do

You must not use Keepr to upload, share or print:

  • anything illegal, including sexual content involving children, which we report to the authorities;
  • sexually explicit, violent or hateful material, or content that harasses, threatens or exploits others;
  • content that infringes someone’s copyright, trademark or privacy, or that is defamatory or misleading;
  • malware, or anything intended to damage or overload Keepr.

You also must not try to break into or reverse-engineer Keepr, access someone else’s account or content, use automated tools to scrape the service, or resell it without our written permission. We may remove content, refuse to print an order that breaches these rules, or suspend or close an account that does. Printing partners may also decline content they consider unlawful or inappropriate.

5. CollabBooks and sharing

  • The person who creates a CollabBook is its owner. The owner chooses the prompts, invites contributors, decides when collecting closes, and chooses the cover, layout and what is printed.
  • When you contribute, your name (or the display name you choose), photos, text and any voice message are visible to the owner and to the other members of that book, and your answer may appear in the printed book.
  • Contributors keep ownership of what they add, and give the book’s owner and Keepr permission to use it in that book and its printed copies as described in section 3.
  • Only add photos of other people if you’re comfortable with them being shared with the group and printed. If you add photos of children, you’re responsible for that choice.
  • A voice message printed in a book is reachable by a QR code and a printed code. Anyone who has the printed book can listen, so only record something you’re happy for the book’s readers to hear.
  • An owner may close a book, remove a contribution, or remove a member. A contributor who deletes their account has their contributions deleted, but copies already printed in books cannot be recalled.

6. Ordering printed books

Prices and currency. Prices are in New Zealand dollars (NZD). The price shown before you pay includes the book (based on size, cover, finish and number of pages) and delivery. We may change prices at any time, but the price you were shown when you paid is the price of that order.

Payment. Payment is taken by card through Stripe when you place the order. We don’t see or store your card number. Your order is confirmed when payment succeeds, and you’ll receive an email.

Check before you pay. Each book is made from the content, layout and cover you approve in the app. Please check the preview, spelling, photos and delivery address carefully before you order. We print what you approve, so we are not responsible for mistakes in content, layout or address that you could have spotted in the preview — for example, a low-resolution photo or a typo.

Made to order. Because every book is personalised and made just for you, you can’t return it simply because you changed your mind. You can ask us to cancel an order by emailing hello@mykeepr.io as soon as possible; if it hasn’t yet been sent to a printer, we’ll cancel it and refund you. Once printing has started we can’t cancel it.

Refunds are made to the original payment method, and may take several days to show on your statement.

7. Delivery

We currently deliver to addresses in New Zealand and Australia only. Delivery times are estimates and depend on the printing partner and the courier, and are not guaranteed. You’re responsible for giving a correct and complete delivery address; if a parcel is returned or lost because the address was wrong, we may charge to send it again. Risk in the book passes to you when it is delivered to the address you gave.

8. Problems with your order

If your book arrives damaged, has a printing or binding fault, or isn’t what you ordered, email hello@mykeepr.io within 30 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the problem. We’ll reprint or replace it, or refund you, as the case requires.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986 or, if you’re in Australia, the Australian Consumer Law. Where those laws apply, our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded, including that they will be of acceptable quality and match their description.

9. Our property

Keepr, the keepr name and logo, and the app, website, software, designs and page layouts are owned by us or our licensors, and are protected by intellectual property laws. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app for its intended purpose. You can’t copy, modify or build on it except as the law allows. If you send us feedback or ideas, we can use them without owing you anything.

The app is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Apple and Google are not responsible for the app or for support, and aren’t parties to these terms, but Apple (and Google) can enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary where the law allows.

10. Ending your account

You can stop using Keepr at any time, and delete your account in the app. When you do, we delete your content as described in our Privacy Policy. We can’t delete an account while you have a print order that is being produced or delivered; you can delete it once it has been delivered.

We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if we need to for legal or security reasons, or if we stop offering Keepr (in which case we’ll give you reasonable notice and a chance to order your books). Sections that by their nature should continue — such as 3, 9, 11 and 13 — continue after your account ends.

11. Our responsibility

We work hard to keep Keepr running, but we provide the app and website “as is”. We don’t promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that your content will never be lost.

Subject to the laws that can’t be excluded (see section 8), Keepr is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as loss of profit, or for loss of data or sentimental value that we could not reasonably have foreseen. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to Keepr is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (or NZ$100 if you haven’t paid us anything).

If you use Keepr for business purposes (for example, as an organization ordering books), the Consumer Guarantees Act does not apply to the extent the law permits us to say so.

We aren’t responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including courier or printer disruption, internet outages or extreme weather.

12. Changes

We may update these terms, for example when we add features. If we make a significant change, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using Keepr after that, you accept the updated terms. If you don’t agree, you can delete your account.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and you and Keepr submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts. If you’re a consumer in Australia, nothing here removes the protection of the Australian Consumer Law. If a part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
